This Inspiring Story About A Former Boston College Lacrosse Player Saving Lives On 9/11 Is Important To Watch Today

Today marks the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It is important that we, as a nation, never forget what happened and never forget the people who lost their lives on that Tuesday morning in 2001.

Below is the story of Welles Crowther, a former Boston College lacrosse player and equity trader in the South Tower. He was on the 78th floor of the second building in New York the day it was attacked. He helped save 12 people on the top floors of the World Trade Center before it collapsed. He was killed in the aftermath.

His story is not new. It is a rerun that plays on ESPN on every 9/11 anniversary. But it is important to watch. They say “Never forget” when referencing the attacks on this country, and the way we can do that is by remembering the heroic actions Americans took during that horrifying time. Crowther is another American hero. His story is unbelievable, and his father’s quotes will tear at your heartstrings.

Reflection is important. As we get older, it gets easier to disconnect from that tragedy. Always remember stories like this. They will inspire you, and you will truly “never forget.”
