Full disclosure: I’ve never heard of most of the “universities” that make the cut of top ten schools with the highest girls-in-sorority percentage. Further disclosure: that goes for really any school that doesn’t call the SEC home, and even out of those institutions, the names of any school without a national championship in the past decade elude me. What can I say? My brain has its priorities in order.

Without further ado, here’s the list of schools with the highest percentage of female students in sororities, per Huffington Post:

1. Washington and Lee University: 82%
2. Welch College: 81%
3. Sewanee- University of the South: 71%
4. DePauw University: 65%
5. Ohio Valley University: 57%
6. Transylvania University: 57%
7. Millsaps College: 55%
8. Wofford College: 55%
9. Harding University: 54%
10. Rhodes College: 54%

Check out Washington and Lee dishing out bids like hotcakes. I’m all for a sizeable, vibrant Greek community, but a ratio of four out of five is absurd.

Where’s the exclusivity? Where’s the prestige? With numbers in the “how many dentists approve Trident gum” range, it’s hard not to wonder if some of these schools took Total One Man Frat Moves a bit too seriously.
