Herm Edwards literally just started his tenure at Arizona State and we already have a couple of golden quotes from the former NFL player and head coach. First, there was his initial press conference where Herm didn’t seem to have any idea about his new school’s mascot, and now we have an equally out of touch story from the Herm-man.
The guy has never seen a techfit jersey. You know, the tight fitting ones that expose the shit out of your beer gut. The ones that a good chunk of us probably wore in high school because they’ve been around for at least six or seven years? With a straight face, he asked if it was intended for a small child. I love it. ASU needs to step up and give his old preaching ass a lifetime contract because this shit is too funny to not see how it develops.
Imagine the first time he catches a guy vaping around the facility or one of the players says something they shouldn’t on social media. The guy’s head will probably explode from the overload of what he considers to be new age technology. Like, “One of our players sent some inappropriate comments to the internet on the Tweeter. This kind of ungodly behavior is not what we expect from our Devils.”
I don’t know if we need to get him a reality show or what, but we have to keep Herm Edwards mic’d up. There’s no telling what else he will say..
