An investigation is underway following the death of a Texas A&M student. The student, whose name has not yet been released, was found dead in the Sigma Nu house. Local authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of death, but they have indicated that signs point to an overdose. Nonetheless, they are waiting until formal autopsy reports are completed before they make a clear determination of the cause of death.

Additionally, and possibly due to the investigation of the student’s death, four other Texas A&M students were arrested at the Sigma Nu house on drug possession charges. In a statement from the fraternity, the chapter indicated that they are being fully cooperative with the investigation. The fraternity also stated that they are keeping the deceased student and his loved ones in their thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace.
