TEXAS—MSU recently had an interesting predicament on their hands. Taylor Corley, a freshman cheerleader, posed nude for Playboy under the name Taylor Stone before enrolling in the university. The story, and pictures, have since gone viral. TFM even had a post referencing the controversy a couple weeks back.
Apparently university officials weren’t too hot and bothered, because Dr. Bill Kibler, Vice President of Student Affairs at Mississippi State, released this statement Wednesday:
If she had identified herself as an MSU Cheerleader or used any of our marks, then the university might have pursued action. However, she was not identified as an MSU student or a cheerleader. The university did not pursue any action when this came to our attention last fall.
FaF. Basically, if Dr. Kibler and I are indeed on the same page (I think we are), it’s customary to get naked and rage in Playboy as long as you don’t identify MSU or use any of their logos or “marks.”
Hey. Hugh. You got one of them. How hard can it be to get the whole team naked in a room making sandwiches together with a photographer?
