Remember when everyone was butt hurt about that little comment Mike Pence said about having dinner with a woman that wasn’t his wife. I’m paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of not being able to go out with any woman besides his wife because it’ll eventually end in penetration. Well, Ricky Ross just cranked that narrative up a notch and doubled down on our Vice President’s viewpoint. The Boss goes so far as to refuse to hire any women to his label on the off chance that he might want to bone them.
From XXL Mag:
“You know, I never did it because I always thought that like I would end up fucking the female rapper [and then] fucking the business up.” Rozay admits. “I’m so focused on my business. I gotta be honest with you. You know, she looking good and I’m spending so much money on the photoshoots…I gotta fuck a couple times.”
That’s a man who takes his business seriously. All about those dollar signs up in here. It takes real maturity to know your vices and then take the precautionary measures to avoid them. Just imagine if Tiger had restrained himself from walking into a Perkins or Charlie Sheen had never done a line of coke. History would have been severely altered.
I believe it was Thomas Jefferson that said, “Don’t mix business with pleasure because it will fuck your life up.” That’s all that is happening here. Does no one see the nobility in that? It’s pretty clear to me that Rozay really just wants to treat each artist objectively. No need to throw a wrench into things and cloud up his judgment. He knows better than that. You cross that line too far and you end up in a cult with R. Kelly (allegedly).
He easily could have just said that there are fewer women emcees out there which makes it harder to find talent, but Ricky went with the truthful route. The road not usually taken. And you don’t build an empire by porking every skirt that walks through your company’s doors.
Ricky Rozay’s honesty is the most refreshing thing I’ve seen in awhile. Never let them change you, you big beautiful bastard..
