A Cub Scout camp in Colorado is under fire after posting pictures of 7-year-olds posing with Hooters waitresses.
From ABC Denver Channel 7:
Parents were outraged after finding out that Hooters girls had not only posed for photos with a Colorado Cub Scout camp ground, but had sponsored the event in the first place.
A Denver mom was in disbelief when she picked up her 7-year-old son from the Frontier District Day Camp and saw the Hooters girls.
“…And I step back for a second and I take a look and I’m like, ‘are they wearing Hooters visors? Wait a minute,” said Michelle Kettleborough.
A district executive wrote her back with this response: “The restaurant assisted with the costs of putting on the camp, and through their community volunteering several of their waitresses donated their time to help staff the camp. Glad to hear your son had such a good time.”
Hell yeah he had a good time!
Look, I don’t see what the big deal is. The Scouts have not been dealt the greatest PR in the last few years. Maybe having a bunch of hot girls around their camps might take some of the attention away from all the gay Scoutmaster stuff.
Half a century ago, Scouts was basically how boys prepared to become men. They learned discipline, honor, survival skills, and how to shoot a gun. A partnership with Hooters could be exactly what Scouts needs to become heterosexual again.
Sounds like the “district executive” understands this. Plus those wings and fried pickles are delicious..
