There’s no doubt that hours after getting laid, your confidence is at an all time high. You walk with more swagger, you’re poised for the challenges the rest of the day presents, and you have a general aura that broadcasts to the world that you’re the fucking man.

Case in point? New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara, who, before this season, was seen as a bit of a disappointment for the G-Men. Well, at least until the former first round pick got laid.

Amukamara, a devout Christian, has been nicknamed “the black Tim Tebow” by his teammates for his lifestyle of no booze, no drugs, and no premarital sex.

That last item on the list is no longer an issue, as Amukamara married his girlfriend of three years, Pilar Davis, at the beginning of the year. Ironically, the two met at a nightclub, after teammates Corey Webster and Aaron Ross essentially pushed Prince her way.

So, after 25 years of sexual frustration, Amukamara has taken a load off–or several–and his play on the field is benefitting from it.

Even his teammates have noticed a significant difference in Prince.

“There are a lot of things different about Prince. For one, he’s married, so he’s (enjoying some things that he wasn’t experiencing before he’s married). For a man, that could definitely help him out. For a man … I’m just being honest … it’s helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love,” Rolle said.

“Prince is a guy that keeps everyone upbeat. He’s a funny guy, but when he goes out there playing, you definitely see him being more aggressive, capitalizing on his opportunities and he’s accepting challenges. He’s winning those challenges.”

“I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to [have sex],” Rolle said. “He’s just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he’s capable of.”

Amukamara’s statistics have also spiked dramatically. In four games, he already has more interceptions (two) than he’s had in any of his previous three seasons, and he’s currently on pace to make 100 tackles this year.

With statistical improvement like this, maybe there’s hope for Tim Tebow after all.
