What is greatness?
Greatness is playing your heart out to the very last second.
Greatness is putting the team on your back and never accepting defeat.
Greatness is living up to the expectations and setting new ones.
Think you can hang with that?
Removing all doubts.
Coming back even stronger. You got that right.
Greatness is taking fate into your own hands.
Are you ready?
Holy shit. I am ready.
The NCAA Football franchise was the best sports video game franchise in the video game world until its untimely demise. Recently, an ad came out of nowhere and set college football Twitter on fire.
“What is greatness?” Ohio State Head Coach Urban Meyer asks to start this vague-as-hell video. Meyer is followed by recent draftees Deshaun Watson, Joey Bosa, Derrick Henry, and University of Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, who finishes with, “Coming back even stronger? You got that right.”
So we have some allusion to something coming back, the PlayStation logo, college football coaches, and some very recent former college football players… Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and this smoke is not coming from two recently suspended University of Florida football players cited for marijuana.
Whatever this is, it’s extremely intriguing… but it seems to only be coming to PlayStation.
Did PlayStation figure out a way to get around the bitches at the NCAA? Maybe. Could this ambiguous shit be referencing something totally different and totally break my heart? Also totally possible.
Time will tell, and this is still unraveling. I’d bet the shitlords at the NCAA would never allow such a cool, great thing that didn’t hurt anybody to come back, but we’ll see. I could see the game coming back, but I could also see them using college football stadiums as new Call of Duty maps or this just being some other bullshit nobody ends up caring about.
My analysis? The NCAA will stay on their bullshit and keep fucking with everyone and absolutely nothing will happen ever. Fuck ’em..
