Mike Leach has a mind of his own and coaches and speaks with a reckless abandon, which is most likely due to him downing a handle of Jack Daniels before the games. Whenever you need a good quote, Leach is there for you.
So when he was asked to give his take on the whole satellite camp ban, he was more than happy to provide us with an A+ quote.
"A bunch of people need to worry about what they're doing and not what Jim Harbaiugh's doing." — Mike Leach on @SiriusXMCollege

Leach: "They don't need satellite camps (in SEC). … But for those in the SEC who don't like satellite camps, quit being such babies."

Mike Leach out here just preaching on everyone. The dude has no filter. One minute he’s calling his players’ girlfriends fat and little and the next he’s bashing the Kardashians. Here are some other great Leach quotes from the past:
On the end of the world:
“I’m not really good with technology. All this button pushing and whatnot. I mean, you can just imagine based on what’s happened in the last 15 years. Conversations won’t happen 10 years from now. There aren’t going to be people to talk to, it’s going to be this.
‘Do you want to go out on a date with me?’
‘I don’t know, what do you like?’
‘Well I look kind of like this.’
‘Ok what are your interests’
‘Well, what do you think my interests are? Looking into this thing and typing into this just like you are.’
‘Yeah, no kidding, that’s what everybody’s doing’
‘Well, where do you want to go?’
‘Well, what difference does it make? Because all we’re going to do be doing is looking into machines anyways.’
Well, that’s true and in the end it’s going to be tough to perpetuate the species. There’s no question about that. So we’re all going to look in this box and eventually be extinct. That’s how it ends.”
On which bowl he’d like his 7-5 Texas Tech team to go to:
“The Rose Bowl”
On players fighting in practice:
“If you get into a fight, don’t take your helmet off…We’re looking for smart football players, not dumb ones. In the interest of time, don’t get into any more fights today.”
It’ll be a sad day for sports once Mike Leach hangs ’em up..
