Walking middle-tier car billboard, University of Texas Delta Tau Delta member (with a fraternity composite photo that’ll make you feel like a burlap sack of manure), and all-around alright alright alright dude Matthew McConaughey stopped by the Texas Longhorns’ football practice a couple days ago to pump the team up ahead of its clash against 10th ranked Notre Dame this Sunday in front of a sellout crowd at DKR that will somehow still only fill up 70% of the stadium.
Not surprisingly, it appears McConaughey spent a good amount of time talking to Malik Jefferson, the Longhorns’ star linebacker.
I’m sure it’s some sort of football terminology and made sense to Malik, but if Matthew McConaughey came up to me and just said “take the ceiling off,” I’m not sure how I’d interpret it. Is he talking about pushing back the sunroof in the all new 2017 Lincoln MKZ? Moving to a different level in the tesseract? Is it necessary that there be no ceiling in order for McConaughey to launch, which he has failed to do in the past? Very cryptic of you, Matt.
This inspiring pep talk’s existence only serves to bolster my prediction that the Horns are snagging 9 wins this year. UTEP, Cal, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Kansas State, Baylor, WVU, Kansas, TCU. Count it..
