You look good; you feel good; you play good. My high school baseball coach used to be obsessed with this saying. Also, unsurprisingly, we were the Oregon Ducks of central Texas 4A baseball, with about 100 different uniform combinations. We were pretty good, too. I’m a believer in this saying, except when it comes to golf. Nothing you wear will help you strike a golf ball.
You can still look good, though. And you can always maximize your fun by bringing cool and fun shit out there.
A lot of golf purists (old people) are against music on the golf course, but I’ll take any edge I can get out there. I’m more free swinging with cracked beers in the cupholders and Drake filling the airwaves around me.
Keep the volume at a respectful level. Your foursome should be able to hear it, but no one else. Don’t be an asshole.
Unless you’re such a shitty golfer that measurements to the pin won’t affect how you hit your approach shot or how close to the hole your ball eventually ends up, like literally everyone I play golf with, you should up your game with an instrument that provides you exact measurements.
Or you could be like me and wander aimlessly around the fairway looking for a yardage marker that I have a hard time finding then walk off the yardage to your ball like an idiot.
Holy shit look at these dad golf shoes. I had a feeling FootJoy would be THE brand to produce the best dad golf kicks on the market, but I could have never guessed they’d be this dad. If I’m designing golf shoes for dads, they look almost as dad as these, because it doesn’t get dadder than these FJs.
It’s a 36 ounce container that will keep your beverage as cold as science will allow for a stupid long time. I’m sure you can find a use for it while playing golf for four plus hours.
There are, like, three good pairs of golf shorts on the market. Vineyard Vines makes one of them and Man Outfitters carries them. Use code SOCK at checkout for 10% off. You’re welcome.
A Titleist Pro Tour visor is the official headwear of the driving range hero who puts on an absolute show on the range pre-round then kicks it around during actual play. He cards a smooth 96 but looks good doing it..
