Tired of that shitty set of golf clubs banging around in your trunk, but don’t have the money to shell out for newer, nicer sticks?
Fear not, stranger — you might have an easier time getting clubs than you would think. Just mosey on over to Rory MciLroy’s official Facebook page and ask him for some new ones. He might be feeling generous, like he was with this random dude.

From The Big Lead:
Rory McIlory responded to a fan on Facebook who mentioned he would gladly accept an old driver. Rory agreed to ship him a club, but couldn’t promise similar results. I guess it never hurts to ask. Of course, there’s always the chance this is an attempt at viral marketing that the golf media – and now I – have fallen for. Well played, multinational sports apparel company. Well played indeed. It’s about time they figured out a way for people to see their brand.
Obligatory Rory-Tiger Nike ad, which deserved an Academy award:
Even if this was all just a marketing ploy and we are being played as fools, I’m still going to shoot Rory a message and see what I can get. My putter has been pretty shoddy recently. So bad, in fact, that some of my scores have skyrocketed from the low 70s to the high 90s. Maybe Rory Claus can find a little something in that big golf bag of goodies to help my short game.
Hell, might be worth it to see if we can get something out of Spieth while we are at it. Never hurts to ask..
