One “happy couple” from Georgia thought they were well on their way to having a perfect wedding day this past weekend. Joke was on them, however, because once they finished their outdoor wedding ceremony (no), they decided to take pictures on a dock over Lake Lanier. They thought they had lucked out, since the forecasted rain had held off, and in an attempt to tempt mother nature, they opted for some outside, water front pictures.
In a hilarious turn of events, the dock that was holding the bride, groom, and the rest of the wedding party, gave way and dumped THE ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY into the lake.
All 29 members of the bridal party (way too many) were thrown into the lake. iPhones were broken, a few people suffered “minor bruising,” one bridesmaid sustained several broken bones, and the flower girl still hadn’t learned how to swim, so it looks like she’s dead. Just kidding about the flower girl, that little brat survived.
I can not think of anything more mortifying than falling into A FUCKING LAKE on my wedding day (should that day ever come, it’s not looking promising). The entire wedding party got drenched, because they were submerged in water. Luckily, the ceremony had just finished, so they only had to worry about drying off at the reception. I wonder if they managed to get any good pictures at all? I can think of nothing worse than looking more “wet dog” than “blushing bride” on my big day. I personally think this little “accident” is the universe’s way of letting the bride, Patricia Fearon, know that it was beyond rude of her to put her bridesmaids in those tacky green dresses. I also think this is what you get for having a bridal party with 29 people in it try to squeeze onto some makeshift dock.
As a seasoned bridesmaid, I can safely say this wedding looked like the biggest disaster of a nuptial celebration I’ve ever seen. Aside from the tacky dresses, outdoor ceremony, and impersonal wedding party selection, the entire group fell into a lake. The only reassuring aspect of any of this is that every bridesmaid still got a chance to get wet on her friend’s wedding day, despite the terrible green dresses they were forced to wear.
