It’s been a rough past two seasons for the Gamecocks. A shell of what it was during the Clowney-Lattimore-Shaw era, South Carolina netted a total of 10 wins over the past two seasons. To put into perspective just how far the mighty have fallen, the Gamecocks won 11 games during each of the 2011-13 seasons. Even Steve Spurrier peaced out halfway through last fall. Now, Will Muschamp has been called upon to return the team to greatness.
As a recent South Carolina grad, I can tell you that the record doesn’t mean all that much to us. The only thing that truly matters is beating Clemson, with whom we share one of the oldest and fiercest college football rivalries. We could lose every other game that season — as long as we beat Clemson, it was still a success. We didn’t beat them last season. In fact, we only beat three teams total. That’s why seeing this smug Clemson kid cowardly slap a “3-9” sign on the back of Muschamp’s bus before snapping a picture irks me to my core.

Pose for that photo again in front of a few Gamecocks. You won’t. FAGGOT. I’m sorry, you guys, that was out of line. I’m just so triggered right now. I feel broken..
