Believe it or not, the game of lacrosse generally has a pretty strict formula to it. You dangle one way, you dangle another. More dangling ensues. Later, there is further dangling. Then, next thing you know, some twine gets ripped, Brad snipes top ched, and it’s an all-out celly fest with lettuce flowing in abundance.
But, every once in a while, there’s a glitch in the Laxtrix. A time when the dangling is put on pause for just a moment as Brads and Chads decide to settle their differences with their fists rather than their trusty twigs. This brawl between Ohio State and Johns Hopkins players during a Big Ten semifinal game last night was one of those whiles.
From Land of 10:
Ohio State and Johns Hopkins met in a Big Ten men’s lacrosse semifinal game and after a Johns Hopkins player appeared to be hurt, a fight between dozens of played ensued.
Take a look:
The fight was an all-out brawl that took place in the fourth quarter as Johns Hopkins trailed 5-4. Whether the fight helped ignite a fire within Johns Hopkins or not, the Buckeyes’ opponent overcame its deficit and ended up winning 6-5 in the final minute of play.
You know this was a game to watch when the brawl wasn’t even the craziest thing that went down.
It’s moments like this where the lax brosers set themselves apart from the lax posers. How you respond in the face of being thrown off your dangling game is really what defines you as top-notch lacrosse program. And it appears that Johns Hopkins proved themselves to be the superior Brads last night. You love to see it. .
