An otherwise enjoyable, relaxing Sunday afternoon round at one of Colorado’s premier public courses quickly turned into one of the biggest bloodbaths in golf history at 18. A TFM reader was on the scene to record the brutal encounter and report the bone-chilling details that led up to the senseless act of violence.

Via Justin Abrams:

Foursome behind hits into the guys on the green who were playing slow due to an 80 year old man with them, a fight ensues. Basically these dudes are terrible but get some good licks in and look absolutely ridiculous like it’s an actual boxing match. Never seen anything like this on a golf course.

Viewer discretion advised.

I’ll give you a minute to recompose yourself — I know it’s a bit graphic in nature. Words were exchanged, hats went flying, and someone actually caught a fist to the chin. I think more people have landed on the moon than a punch on a golf course. So impressive stuff by green, who was totally in the right all along.

It’s called pace of play, old man. If you’re singlehandedly holding every group behind you up, don’t cry when I send a warning shot in your general vicinity. Maybe just pick up when you’re still not on the green in 9. That way you won’t have your grandson fight and lose all your battles. Poor kid already has it bad enough spending 8 hours playing a single round with a guy that moves and smells like a stale fart. Now he had to take a clean shot to the grill for his efforts? That ain’t right.
