Have you visited Adult Friend Finder, Penthouse.com, or Cams.com recently? Whoops, your account got hacked.
From The Guardian:
Adult dating and pornography site company Friend Finder Networks has been hacked, exposing the private details of more than 412m accounts and making it one of the largest data breaches ever recorded, according to monitoring firm Leaked Source.
This attack absolutely dwarfs the Ashley Madison breach last year, which only affected 39 million emails. And since we found out all kinds of interesting tidbits from that hack, I predict even juicier secrets to slip out this time.
Now you may be wondering, “Oh Jesus. I went on Adult Friend Finder once, a couple months ago. I just moved to a new city, and was having trouble making adult friends. I had no idea it was that kind of website!”
Sure you didn’t. You deleted your account though, right?
“Yeah I did. I should be good then?”
Nope. The leak also exposed over 16 million deleted accounts, including those of people who had deleted their accounts after Adult Friend Finder was hacked in 2014, too.
“I’ve got umm… a ‘sensitive job’…where I really can’t get exposed in something like this.”
Government? Don’t worry, you’re in good company.
Among the leaked account details were 78,301 US military email addresses, 5,650 US government email addresses and over 96m Hotmail accounts.
“Fuck….I have a hotmail account registered, too.”
You made two accounts? By mistake?
“No. I was on there for porn and hookers.”
That’s what I thought. Stay safe out there, kids..
